Boulevard is a lovely false cypress popular for group plantings. Its needles are soft, awl-shaped, curving, silvery-blue colour. Fully mature it can grow about 3m but usually keeps smaller – 1.5m high and 1m wide. Natural habit is broadly pyramidal. Growth rate is slow to moderate. No pruning required. Shelter from strong winds. It prefers moist, slightly acidic soil but is adaptable to almost all types of soil. Fully hardy to -34°C (USDA zone 4).
