If there is a perennial heaven, there must be plenty of blanket flowers. This is such a beautiful flowering plant that should not be missing in any bed where bright colours and summer flowering are key features.

SUNBURST™ is a successful blanket flower series that consists of compact, low growing varieties flowering profusely all summer long. SUNBURST™ Red With Yellow Tip is quite similar to Kobold i.e. large flowers with red rays with yellow ends but this one makes very short stems thanks to which it forms a neat cushion. The leaves are narrow and rich green.

Blanket flower blooms from June until early autumn. Place in full sun and make sure the soil is free draining – in boggy soil it will most certainly die over winter. Hardy to about -29°C (USDA zone 5).
