JUANITA® is a Spanish name full of sun, passion, and vibrancy just like this floribunda rose by Kordes. It produces heavy clusters of small, slightly fragrant, single, almost anemone-like flowers with bi-coloured petals – rich purple pink at margins and white towards the centres that are decorated with a crown of rich yellow stamens. They bloom repeatedly from June until November on the background of highly glossy, healthy foliage which requires no protection from common rose diseases. Flowers may look like those on the bushes at the Sleeping Beauty’s tower, however, JUANITA rose cannot climb – it grows only some 80 cm tall and a bit wider. It is very hardy and suitable for outdoor pots, too.
Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.
Pruning: Cut the branches in half in autumn and prune hard to 3-5 live buds in spring after danger of frosts. During the flowering season prune flowered stems regularly, and follow a regular feeding programme.
