Oh Happy Day^® is not only a gospel, in the horticultural world it is also a beautiful and unique rose bred by Kordes. It is a tea hybrid shrub rose producing large, fragrant flowers, though the breeder himself does not consider this variety too fragrant. We experienced very pleasant, medium strong, tea and fruity perfume. The flowers are 8-10 cm across, apricot orange inside, pale beige outside with a pink saucer. In hot summer the flowers are paler, and in late summer and autumn when the days get colder the depth of colours significantly increases. Leaves are very dark green, glossy and extremely healthy. Oh Happy Day^® was introduced in 2015 and awarded ADR in 2013.

Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.

Pruning: Cut the branches in half in autumn and prune hard to 3-5 live buds in spring after danger of frosts. During the flowering season prune flowered stems regularly.

STANDARD QUALITY - Plants of this group are 1st class quality with number of branches and overall density adequate to their size and age, considering they were container grown.
DE LUXE QUALITY - This label guarantees a luxurious quality of manually selected plants that, compared to their height and age, are exceptionally dense and beautiful.
EXTRA - These plants are usually mature and bigger specimens with exceptional overall appearance.
STANDARD (as described in the plant form) means a tree with a trunk of 190-210 cm and a crown at the top, unless specified differently. The commercial size for trees is their girth measured in the height of 1m from ground.
HOBBY - These plants are of the same quality as our standard-quality plants but younger and therefore cheaper.
SHRUB - a woody plant with branches growing bushy from the ground level.
HALF-STANDARD or MINI-STANDARD - a small tree with shorter trunk, its size is usually specified.
FEATHERED - These are trees with branches growing already from the base of the trunk and up along the stem.
