Roses Summer blooms |
Like a summer sun glowing in the middle of a hot day, or a setting sun of late Indian summer. This Kordes polyantha rose bears various shades of golden yellow colour. On hot summer days it ranges from light yellow to pale orange, and when the weather turns colder in early autumn the flowers get more golden and rich amber while the leaves gain purple red shades. Amber Sun rose was introduced in 2005 and obtained many medals and awards. It is highly resistant to mildew and copes well with black spot under good growing conditions.
Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.
Pruning: These roses needn’t be pruned, yet they can be trimmed lightly in spring to encourage new growths and more compact bush. Deadheading spent flowers above the first leaf with 5 leaflets is recommended.
