An attractive eye-catcher is this medium-sized shrub with contorted branches. This black locust is a grafted selection with bright green leaves that curl as well as the twigs. The plant produces new growths all season long which give the shrub a fresh appearance until the autumn. It does not bloom regularly. Usual maximum height is about 3m after 20 years. We do not recommend fertilizing any black locust to keep it compact. It withstands any soil, drought, and location apart from boggy and wet sites.
