Description of the plant

Marginata Elegantissima is a variegated form of English holly. It has mid-sized, deep green leaves with 3 or 5 lobes and creamy white margins. Variegation is irregular and may run towards the centre of the leaf. Branches produce aerial roots that cling to any surface (support).

Growing conditions and care

Young plants grow slower than adults. This evergreen climber can be used against a wall, or as a ground-cover, or can be planted at a short wall with new shoots let hung over its top. Ivies prefer alkaline, moist, semi-fertile soil that is well drained. Fully hardy to -29°C (USDA zone 5).
